3D printed vases and planter vases, made to order in Texas
Vases are the thing 3D printing does that a factory cannot do cheaply: one of a shape, in one color, at one height, this week. We print spiral vases, faceted vases, and self-watering planters in PLA, PETG, or ASA, in any stocked color, sized to the shelf or the stems you have in mind.
PETG for anything that holds water. PLA for dried arrangements and indoor decor. ASA for a porch or a sunny window. Wall thickness and base are set per piece so a tall vase does not tip.
Three kinds of vase
Spiral vases
Printed in a single continuous wall, so the surface is a smooth helix with no seam. Light, fast to print, and the most economical way to get a tall shape. We thicken the wall and print a solid base so they hold water with a glass or plastic liner.
Faceted and ripple vases
Geometric surfaces printed with multiple walls for stiffness. Heavier than a spiral vase and better for wide mouths and dried arrangements. Available in matte or silk finishes.
Self-watering planters
A two-part pot with a reservoir in the base and a wick channel, so a desk plant drinks for a week or two between fills. Printed in PETG so the reservoir does not soften or leak.
Will it hold water?
A single-wall spiral vase in PLA is decorative. Water finds the layer lines eventually, and PLA softens in a hot window. For cut flowers we print in PETG with a doubled wall and a solid base, and we recommend a glass or plastic liner inside for anything you will keep filled for weeks. Planters are PETG by default for the same reason: the reservoir has to stay sealed.
Sizing and custom shapes
Stock vases run from about 120 mm to 250 mm tall. Taller pieces print in two sections with a threaded or pinned joint. Send a photo of the spot it will live in, a height, and a mouth diameter through the quote form and we send back a render before printing.
