Lab organization, printed to order

Peptide vial racks and lab vial storage, bored to your vials

Racks, trays, storage cases, and reconstitution stands for 2 ml to 20 ml research vials, printed in PETG, ASA, or PLA. Every bore is cut to the vial body, either the ISO 8362-1 nominal size or the diameter you measure, with about ±0.2 mm of tolerance. Ten to one hundred positions per rack, in a color per size if you want it. We print the racks and the labels. We never sell what goes in the vials.

Three materials

PETG by default for wipe-downs and cold rooms. ASA for heat and sun. PLA when the rack stays indoors and cost matters most.

Bore tolerance about ±0.2 mm

Standard clearance is 0.8 mm over the vial body, so nothing binds and nothing rattles. Ask for snug and we drop to 0.5 mm.

Cut to your vial

Send the measured outside diameter, or mail us one vial, and every bore is cut to it. Nominal ISO sizes are the starting point, not the limit.

Color per size

One color per vial size means a tech knows the tray from across the room. Standard colors in every material; specific filaments for larger orders.

Rack sizes

Vial size, bore, wall, and capacity

Pick the rack by vial body diameter, not by volume. Footprints are outside dimensions in millimeters for each capacity.

Bore is body OD plus 0.8 mm. Racks over about 250 mm on a side ship as two interlocking halves.

Materials

Which plastic for a lab bench

Default

PETG

Slightly flexible, shrugs off isopropyl wipe-downs, and does not crack when a loaded rack is dropped an inch onto a bench. The material we print racks in unless you ask otherwise.

Heat and sun

ASA

For racks that live in a warm room, a vehicle, or a window. Holds its shape past 90 °C and does not yellow. Costs a little more per gram.

Budget, indoor

PLA

The lowest-cost option and stiff enough for a full 100-position rack. Keep it out of hot cars and away from anything over about 55 °C, and do not autoclave it.

None of these are autoclavable and we make no sterility claims. Full material guide on the materials page.

Vial rack questions

Can you cut a rack to my exact vial diameter?

Yes. Every rack is printed to order, so the bore is a number we type in, not a mold we own. Send the measured outside diameter of your vial (calipers across the body, not the cap) or mail us one vial, and we bore at that figure plus 0.8 mm. If your vials vary between lots, tell us the widest and we cut to it.

What tolerance do you hold on the bore?

About ±0.2 mm on calibrated machines, which is why the standard clearance is 0.8 mm total: a vial never binds and never rattles. Ask for a snugger fit and we drop to 0.5 mm, which grips a bit but needs two hands to unload.

Which material should I pick?

PETG unless you have a reason not to. It handles alcohol wipe-downs, a bit of flex, and cold-room temperatures. ASA if the rack will see heat or sunlight. PLA if the rack stays indoors at room temperature and cost matters most. None of the three are autoclavable, and we make no sterility claims about any of them.

Can the rack match my label or brand colors?

Yes. We stock a standard color range in each material and can source specific filament colors for larger orders. Suppliers who run several vial sizes usually pick one color per size so a tray is recognizable from across the room.

How big is a 100-position rack?

It depends on the vial. A 100-position 2 ml rack is about 20 cm square. A 100-position 20 ml rack would be about 34 cm square, so it ships as two interlocking 50-position halves. Every size page lists the footprint for each capacity.

Do you sell peptides, diluent, or anything that goes in the vials?

No. We print racks, trays, and stands, and on the labels side we print the labels. We never sell compounds and never give advice about them. Everything on this page is for organizing research vials.
