Mixed-size vial trays for benches that run 2 ml and 10 ml together
Most benches do not run one vial size. A peptide supplier packs a 2 ml vial with a 10 ml diluent; a receiving desk checks one of each. A mixed-size tray puts two or three bore diameters on one base, laid out to the counts you actually run, so the kit that ships together sits together. PETG, ASA, or PLA, with each row bored to the vial body or to your measured diameter.
Trays people actually order
| Tray | Layout | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Peptide kit tray | 10 × 2 ml + 2 × 10 ml | Five kits of two peptide vials and one diluent, staged for packing |
| Bench tray | 20 × 3 ml + 5 × 10 ml | A working day of small vials with diluent on the same tray |
| Receiving tray | 6 × 2 ml + 6 × 5 ml + 3 × 20 ml | One sample of every size in a lot, side by side for inspection |
How the rows line up
Each vial size keeps its own pitch, so a row of 2 ml bores is denser than a row of 10 ml bores. Rows run the long way and the tray edge is a single straight wall, which is what lets it sit against the back of a shelf. Between rows of different sizes the wall is 4 mm instead of 3, because that is where a tray flexes when it is picked up by one end. The floor is full, with a shallow drain slot per row on the PETG version.
Bores available on one tray
| Vial | Bore | Row pitch | Row height |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 ml | 16.8 mm | 19.8 mm | 22 mm |
| 3 ml | 17.8 mm | 20.8 mm | 24 mm |
| 5 ml | 22.8 mm | 25.8 mm | 26 mm |
| 10 ml | 24.8 mm | 28 mm | 28 mm |
| 20 ml | 30.8 mm | 34.3 mm | 34 mm |
A mixed tray is printed at the tallest row height in it, so short vials sit a little deeper. Up to three sizes per tray; more than that and two trays are easier to live with.
Ordering a mixed tray
The product page takes the counts per size and a material and color. If your vials are not the nominal ISO bodies, put the measured diameters in the order notes and we bore to them. For anything with more than three sizes, an unusual footprint, or a matching lid, send the counts through the quote form and we lay it out and send a drawing before printing.
